Webcast Radio

|
Web radio (or Internet radio) is a broadcasting service transmitted via the Internet. Not every web "radio
station" has a corresponding traditional radio station. Many web radio stations are completely independent
from traditional ("terrestrial") radio stations and broadcast only on the Internet. Broadcasting on the
Internet is usually referred to as webcasting.
You have probably heard the terms streaming or webcasting or you have heard from your favorite radio or TV stations
that you can listen to them on the web at work. We are offering a different alternative to "canned music"
We are " KBLM the Moon"and we are a local web radio station right here in Oak Grove. We bring you a variety
of music daily music, which includes independent music artists who might not have the opportunity to be heard on
the big stations. We also offer prices for commercials that are affordable to the small businesses right here that
could never afford to advertise on the local radio or TV stations. There is hardly any way for the small business
person to compete with the " big guys' budgets. The "big guys" spend more on advertising in a month
than most small businesses spend on the entire operating costs for a full year. For a total cost of $30.00 per
month, there will be a banner ad on our website (with a link to your website if you have one) and at least one
thirty (30) second commercial every day of the week on KBLM. Just think, your commercial ad literally out there
on the web for the whole world to see and hear for around $1.00 per day.
Currently we have local on-air personalities who do the promos for our station. In the future we will have local
on air personalities performing "live shows" to entertain you with music and hope to include local events,
school news by local students (giving them a chance to maybe start a career in broadcasting), and a request and
dedication show for your quiet time to yourself. We hope down the road to have live re-creations and updates of
the "old time radio shows from the past" done by our own local theatre students. We also hope in the
future to be able to broadcast the "Sound of Panther Pride" school band, football, basket ball and baseball
games live or at least a pod cast for listening at a later date. Imagine being able to hear that famous play where
you heard your son, daughter or grandchild's name over the loud speakers or maybe that school concert that you
missed because of a late day at work. The benefits can be many for our community and we want to be able to deliver
what the radio and TV stations of Kansas City just can't or won't. Join us by listening and or advertising on KBLM
